Kumortuli is a place in Kolkata, Weset Bengal,India famous for the "Kumors" or otherwise potters who make idols of Gods & Goddesses which are shipped all over the world and worshipped during various festivals and pujas. Notably Kolkata's Durga Puja which is the most important of the puja or festival recently included in the Lists of Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO is the mosaat important occasion for the potters of Kumortuli. Here a potter is seen giving the final touches to the Goddess Durga.
