Most of us who were born in America have a history of our brave family members that immigrated to America. They traveled here in difficult times such as conflict, poverty, oppression or seeking a better life. My Italian Family traveled during World War 1 with War ships in the seas. When they landed in New York they passed through Ellis Island along with millions of other immigrants. America is a rich melting pot of many different cultures. The last four years of this Administration has done much damage and division. They have encouraged hatred and violence against certain immigrants. It all began from the top, from a xenophobic President stoking the flames. What makes America- America, is its rich history of the immigrant story.
