The Importance of Strong Roots in a Storm
We were driving along the coast near Cairns, Australia. It was a grey and rainy day, the wind was blowing, and there were whitecaps on the ocean. We pulled over when we saw these trees offshore, seemingly so delicate but each with many roots anchoring it to the ocean floor and to the other trees. I loved the muted color palette and the symbolism of having strong roots during rough weather.
