We had just arrived in Chicago and gotten up to our hotel room on the higher floors of the historic Palmer House hotel. At my first glance out the window, I was presented with this scene - a marvelous view of the inner courtyard, revealing the architectural grandeur and symmetry of this amazing building - just as everyone had started turning on their lights, as it was getting dark. The color and structure of the scene were fascinating.
