In July 2020, as the Pandemic raged on I grew anxious. Anxious because I was sitting at home, with nothing do to and aching to get my camera back out into the world. I wanted to travel, but I couldn't go very far. A friend of mine is a pilot and he needed to get some flight time. We knew it would be selfish to sit in a plane together without knowing if either one of us carried the virus, so we got tested. Our results came back negative and we planned a day to take his plane up over Madison. My boyfriend came with to help me with anything I might need. Little did I know, that meant holding the window of the plane open while I stuck my head out and snapped this photograph of Downtown Madison, Wisconsin. It was an exhilarating experience - one that I will never forget. This image will always hold a special place in my heart - it got me out of my house and calmed my anxieties.
