The Jaguar's Look

The jaguar in the picture is a male. Male jaguars don't climb on trees that often, its usually females that explore trees. The reason why he did so is because he was mating with a female that climbed the tree first and then he followed. When there is a mating couple of jaguars, they stay together for about 4 to 5 days and the female leads all the action, making the males follow every step that she takes.
