The Juan Fernandez Firecrown Hummingbird An endemic humming bird from Juan Fernandez island otherwise known as Robinson Crusoe island Having sailed across the pacific on route to Raster island the Tecla stopped over for a few days. There are apparently less then 2000 pairs and it took a little while to find a male which spent quite a bit of his time flittering around inside the dense tree canopies
