A Sumatran Orangutan (Pongo abelii), this jungle man was resting on the forest floor in the Leuser Ecosystem of Indonesia. After moving through the jungle this large male laid against the trunk of a tree to rest. He covered his eyes with the palm of his hand, and occasionally would lift it to observe his surroundings. How inevitable it is to see ourselves in their features and behaviours.
