The Labrythian City

Unfurling like a labyrinthine maze from a hilltop towards the coast, Alfama is Lisbon's gem from the time of the Moors: a district full of narrow cobblestoned alleyways, palm shaded squares, and terracotta-roofed houses. The best way to explore this place is to take a tram right up to the top near the castle, and just start walking down, without a map, making sure to get lost along the way - Location: Lisbon, Portugal
