23rd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Wildlife
The Leaf Inspector
The photo shows a Paper Wasp that landed on a leaf in my backyard. Its front leg looks as if it is testing the stability or quality of the leaf. That with the fact that it looks like its looking down at the leaf is why I called this photo "The Leaf Inspector".
