The Lifeguards
Every summer for the past five years I have worked in a busy sea-side cafe in south west Wales. The little village is the epitome of a British holiday with sand castles, rounders’ tournaments and children running in and out of the sea. The tourists change on a Saturday to Saturday basis, but there remains the red and yellow constant - The Lifeguards. These brave young people at the water's edge keep the coast safe and are an important reminder of how perilous the sea can be.
