The Living Goddess of Nepal is carried home
The Living Goddess of Patan is carried home by relatives after making an appearance in a Festival. She is only allowed to leave the building 18 times a year, can’t touch the ground with her feet or speak to anyone except her family. She must be replaced once she has had her first period or bleeds for any reason.
