The Living Goddess of Nepal
The Living Goddess of Patan poses for a portrait in her worshiping room. This nine year old girl has been a goddess for five years. She is believed to be the personification of the Goddess Taleju. In the Hinduism most of the pre-puberty girls, unmarried and virgin, are used in festivities as a symbol of good luck.
