On my first visit to Colorado, a friend and I decided to spend the day in Rocky Mountain National Park. We hiked up to The Loch, and sat there for upwards of an hour, just in total awe of the beauty of the place. It was May, and air was warm enough for short sleeves, but the snow just gave the area a magical look. We eventually hiked onwards towards Sky Pond but had to turn back due to the ice.
