The lofty mountains of Himalaya makes the occasion of Chham dance more beautiful.

‘Chham’ is performed by lamas of Likir monastery, ladakh , robbed in colourful dresses and frightful masks to inact the different aspects of Tibetan Buddhism. Ladakh is a very popular tourist destination of India. But during the winter months, it's completely different because this type of quaint rituals are going on in different monasteries which can open the gate way of cultural tourism. In recent time, the festivals in Ladakh are becoming sources of entertainment among foreigners and thus encouraging tourism in this part of the world during winter months.
