A lone American flag stands watch over the fallen at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. I grew up in a military family and I am a currently serving in the U.S. Navy. When I visited Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, I realized that I had discovered one of the most sacred, solemn and beautiful places on earth.
