On a drive from Senegal to The Gambia my tour bus driver made a stop to visit this imposing awe-inspiring holy Mosque of the Mouride Islamic Brotherhood. The mosque has five elegant minarets and three domes. Its founder, Amadou Bamba, is buried there. It is home to an annual pilgrimage, The Grand Magal of Touba, for about two million devotees.
