This photograph provides a view westward from Lipan Point, which offers one of the widest views of the Grand Canyon, and which includes the Colorado River as it curves and enters the inner gorge of the Canyon. Lipan Point is near the Desert View east entrance to the Grand Canyon's South Rim.
