The photo on the memory of the Georgian - Abkhazian armed conflict of 1992. August 14, 1992 between Georgia and Abkhazia started military actions, which escalated into a real war with using aircraft, artillery and other weapons.The aim of the Georgian government was to establish control over part of its territory and preserve its integrity. The purpose of the Abkhaz authorities ‑ the empowerment of autonomy and ultimately independence.According to official data, during military operations killed about 16 thousand people, from them 4 thousand Abkhazians, 10 thousand Georgians and 2, thousands of volunteers from different republics of the North Caucasus and South Ossetia. September 30, 1993, after a fierce war, Abkhazia was an Independent Republic samoprovzglashenny, every year to celebrate this day. Today, in the UN documents is seen as the territory of Georgia occupied by Russia. Recognized 4 States, Russia, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Nauru, the partially recognized South Ossetia.
