The Mayor Wears Heals
This photo was taken during Michelle Wu's campaign victory speech on the night of November 2, 2021 when she became the first woman and first person of color to be elected to serve as the Mayor of Boston. Wu's son is the boy pictured on the right side of the frame and now will grow up in a world where it is not unusual for the mayor of Boston to weal heals to work.
