A Meadow brown butterfly is seen sunning itself on a cold but sunny day. Taken on a small island off the coast of Cornwall it is amazing that any small winged insects could exist in such a windy location, but the surrounding hedges and meadows seem to give adequate protection to the worst of the weather.
