The Midsummer Magic
This image is taken in the midsummer night. I had thousands of mosquitos biting me, but the mesmerising lights of the midsummer sky, the cry of the birds, the beautiful lakeside with jumping fish, the tranquility of the nature captured me and allowed me to contemplate and restore my energy after a challenging year. The eerie landscape and my self-portrait, the melting figure formed a ritualistic and contemplative shield while recovering from pandemic circumstances. The Finnish prover says: 'Vesi vanhin parantaja.'The Water - our eldest Healer. We are all made of layers, currents and little secrets.
