The Mystery of Ganges

When visiting Varanasi, I like to wander along the holy river Ganges with no set plans. In an early morning, such wanderings rewarded me an encounter with an old pilgrim submerging herself and a young boat-boy walking into the frame. Located on the banks of the Ganges River, Varanasi is a pilgrimage destination for Hindus. Bathing in the turgid waters is widely thought to purge all sins.
