Ghost Ranch; a hogan with a screen door

The experience of traveling through Navajo Nation can be one of many dichotomies. The blatant conflicts of ancient lineages trying to find accord with modern times leads to much adaptation, even if it is forced. This Navajo hogan seemed about the best representation of this idea. A symbol of an ancient value, adorned with a modern convenience, and still it seems discarded. It’s hard to see into the shadows of the interior without stepping closer for a better look.
