20th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
The old oak tree
Taken in Madison County, North Carolina. Great pains was taken to save this oak tree when interstate 26 was built through Madison County. I've taken many photos of it. The tree always looks like it is dancing for joy.
