14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel
The Pacu Jawi Bull races in Indonesia
This bull race is held in wet paddy fields in the country side in West Sumatra. The idea is not to win a race, but to see if the animals are healthy and how they perform - run, turn and obey. So I was told by some locals at the scene.
