The pattern of thrombolites, or living rocks, Flower's Cove, Newfoundland, Canada
Thrombolites are rare rock formations that can only be found in two places on the Earth: Flower's Cove, Newfoundland, Canada, and in Australia. The bay at Flower's Cove is filled with these 'living rocks' fossils that date from 650 million years ago.
