The persistence of mistake
I took this picture one summer evening in Rome. Strolling through a strangely desert city, I noticed Gucci's store window: perfect, linear, symmetrical but with an unintentionally wrong, disjointed detail. I had recently embarked on a mental health journey, to overcome some episodes of depression I had experienced in my life. The great challenge is learning to recognize and accept one's limitations, those details that make one a unique person, even if not totally conforming to one's idea of oneself. This photo represents for me the persistence of my mistake, which is no longer something to hide or run away from, but the sign of my uniqueness.
