Thaipusam is a frenetic festival celebrated by Hindu to honor Lord Murgan — the Hindu god of war and a son of Shiva. During Thaipusam some devotees pierce their body, tongue and face, someone plus everything carries a heavy construction, and someone a milk pot as an offering.
