The pigeons of Durbar Square.

While exploring Durbar Square nearly a year after the devastating earthquake of 2015 the damage was much worse than I had expected. I had paid my entrance fee and was given a brochure that showed the buildings I'd be seeing. It had not been updated since the earthquake so to walk amongst the rubble and destruction and see in my hand what it used to look like was heartbreaking. Yet, life goes on and so the women still show up with corn to sell to people to feed the pigeons.
