The Pride and Joy
Lion cubs in Serengeti National Park treated us to all sorts of mischief, from nipping at each other during games of "tag" to crawling all over the females of the pride while they tried to catch a cat-nap in the heat. But every now and then the dust would settle and we would catch glimpses of tenderness, such as this, where it was obvious that the bond between mother and child is something so special and that a mother's sense of "pride" is the source of immeasurable love and patience.
