The Pyramid of North Dakota
The centerpiece of the Stanley R. Mickelsen Safeguard Complex in North Dakota was the enormous Missile Site Radar, designed to facilitate the interception of enemy ballistic missiles. The Complex operated for less than a year, being deactivated in 1975. The main site was purchased by the Spring Creek Hutterite Colony in 2012.
