The re-creation of Plymouth Colony on Plymouth Bay

The history of Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, Massachusetts, is controversial, to say the least. Our country has a long history of denying the true nature of the relationship between colonists and Native Americans. Today, 400 years after the Mayflower first landed on the shores of Massachusetts, you can still visit Plimoth Plantation or a re-creation of it anyway. I visited in October 2018. We toured the museum, along with re-creations of a Wampanoag homesite and a colonial English village. As I stood in one of the replica English homes at the top of a hill, I looked out and saw the rest of village with Plymouth Bay in the background. I grabbed my phone and positioned myself to get the shot I wanted.
