The Rugged Terrain of Alaska in Autumn

By September, much of the ice has melted along the shores of Glacier Bay in Alaska. I liked the way the colors and textures of the mountain changed the higher up you went. There were colorful plants on the lowest level, then bare rocks, and finally snow on the highest level -- all on the same mountain.
