A scorpion roaming a small clearing in the rainforest on the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. The scorpion was discovered next to my shoes when I woke up in my cabin that morning. I was able to scoop it up into a small container, then check for more. Thankfully this was the only scorpion that greeted me that morning. I released it a ways from the cabin in that clearing and got some close-ups of it before my host saw it, declared it "tiny," then picked it up by the tail and flung it into the jungle.
