The sea anemone Anthopleura sola, in a tidepool.
Sea anemones are probably my favorite animals in our local tidepools. I find this species to be particularly photogenic. This individual happened to be nestled in a cloud of red algae (Mazzaella sp.) that it matches perfectly.
