The picture depicts a narrative from my most recent body of work. I work with the idea of an alternate reality in an individual’s existence relating to what was and what is. The ephemeral quality in the narrative is what I am trying to achieve. Decay and dissolutions of what was once beautiful. The theory and studies of older individuals who transcend to new heightened awareness' and their old beliefs or views mostly change what once they valued. The transcendence is symbolism in my images as a silken tapestry is depicted as wisdom which is acquired with age. I portrayed a silken woven face cover and age is not visible and the beauty is within only greater than before.
