The sky below the world above
Ripples created by street flooding following the passage of Hurricane Nicholas. As a geologist I was impressed with the clarity of their form for such an ephemeral, if high energy event. Then I saw the reflection of the tree and grass on the surface and how the ripples and streaks on the pavement looked like a turbulent sky above the tree.
