THE SKY IS PAINTING

Half my family is French, I was born in America. Therefore every chance I get to go visit my cousins and aunts and uncles I go overseas to visit. Summer this year I was lucky enough to go to the south of France and spend some beautiful moments with them all. This one in particular was memorable because we hiked up a road not knowing exactly where it led, and it turned out to be a breath taking view from a place called "Route de Crete". We couldn't believe we got there at the perfect time to catch a sunset that left us all speechless. We got up and were out of breathe so all you could hear was the warm winds blowing on us and our heavy breathing. It was so calm but still really thrilling and exciting. I had my 35mm Minolta on me and had only about 5 shots left, it's my oldest camera my mom gave to me and with a broken light meter I was super nervous I would miss the shot and under or over expose. In the end I think the photo turned out to really capture the essence of how the moment felt and so I've decided to share it with you. Hopefully you feel something similar.
