The solar eclipse 8-21-17 diamond ring effect. Hand held no edits; Lucky me!
My husband and I camped on top of a mountain near Prarie City, Oregon. I did not buy the filter to take photos of the eclipse, I thought I'd leave the shots to professionals, as I did not feel I would get any good shots, and I wanted to just enjoy the moment. I planned to take photos during totality, however. As we got in the totality phase, I was so awed that I watched in amazement. My husband was videotaping and said we've already seen a minute of this. I almost forgot to take any pictures, then I got this one. I was in heaven, when I looked back at the pictures. Hand held, no tripod. Lucky shot for me! Mesmerizing, otherworldly moment. UNFORGETTABLE.
