The Sound of Refugees

Amano Ag Mohammed, refugee at the Mberra camp in Mauritania, escaping the multiple conflicts plagung Mali. Together with few other refugees he started a musical scene within the camp, in order to maintain connections with his people's culture and to emotionally cope with very tough conditions at the camp. He's a Griot and belong to the Kal Ansar family a very important tribe of the Timbuktu region. Being a Griot he's the only entitled to play guitar and the traditional songs. Most of the traditional music are revolution songs originally meant to give courage to the soldiers during the battles.
