The Spiny Bush Viper
This is Atheris hispida, also called the spiny bush viper or hairy bush viper due to their heavily keeled scales. They're an incredibly beautiful species of snake, which due to habitat loss have a very sporadic range throughout eastern and central Africa. This photo was taken in Mityana, central Uganda and was found after over 4 hours of searching through dense jungle.
