This is a capture taken during the celebration of the festival of the shepherd community called "The Dhangars". They celebrate the festival of their Deity called Lord Birdev. The festival symbolizes the harvest or manufacture of Turmeric powder from the turmeric plant. During the festival, they also perform a dance known as "HEDAM".
