The stunning Royal Blue a flock Grandala is coming on tree for their favourite food. The Grandala birds bond as a flock. These flock birds are famous for always staying together. Found in the high mountain passes and alpine forests from India to Tibet as well as parts of China. The Grandala is an exceedingly stunning member of the thrush family. It ranges all across the Himalayas, through northeast of India and extending into China, and exists mostly in the mid-to-high altitudes. Watching a flock of Grandala is a surreal experience. Being insectivores, their diet primarily consists of insects, larvae, caterpillars, moths, seeds. They prefer to hunt prey from the trees. Only the adult males of the species sport such a deep royal blue colour, the females are brownish-gray. Their breeding season occurs between May and July where a nest built in the shape of a large bowl is placed on a ledge or edge of a rock.
