19th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel
The sun rises over Sausalito as int the distance walls of fog move in.
Sausalito is a community on San Francisco Bay, north of San Francisco. Boats of all kinds are part of life there. On this morning the sunrise was brilliant over the boats and water, and the common early morning fog created walls which slowly moved in towards the boats.
