The temple that tells stories
The church of St. Demetrius was declared a cultural monument in Bulgaria. It was built in 1850. at the price of the village of Palat. The church was burned twice during the Kresna-Razlog uprising in 1878. and during the Inter-Allied War in 1913. by Greek soldiers. It was restored in 1919. On this wonderful day I was with the man who told me about this village and wonderful stories about the past, namely my grandmother, who is my guide and narrator of fascinating stories about the old Bulgarians who lived in these villages and lands.
