The Top of Potala Palace, Lhasa Tibet
Potala Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a historic building for the Gelug, or Yellow Hat, sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It has traditionally been the home to the Dalai Lamas. Construction of the palace began in 1645 and took 45 years to complete. The palace has 13 stories and over 1000 rooms.
