I was enjoying the late afternoon sun while walking in Oldbury Court Country Park on the outskirts of Bristol. Suddenly a large black dog ran past me, and when he stopped a few yards ahead I was dismayed to watch him grab a squirrel, shake it in his mouth and drop it. His owners passed me and stopped to see what had happened, then just walked on. When I walked further ahead I came across the poor squirrel who at least probably died quickly. I wish it were illegal to let dogs run freely.
