15th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
The view from Mt. Fuji at sunrise
After backpacking for 4 months in rural Japan, armed with a backpack and an iPod touch as my camera and wifi device, I climbed Fuji overnight in July. As the sun crossed the horizon, the hundred or so climbers started cheering and singing.
