The Wallace Monument

The Wallace Monument near Stirling, Scotland, is a tower that sits on top of a hill, the Abbey Craig, overlooking the towns surrounding it. It is a monument to William Wallace, a 13th century Scottish hero. There are 4 floors and 264 steps, the winding staircase for which can be seen in the photo. The top is an open observation area.
